Katu Kaiku

The winner of the Young Nordic Jazz Comets contest!

Finland's representative at the Young Nordic Jazz Comets showcase is Katu Kaiku – a saxophone trio led by Adele Sauros. The jury was particularly impressed by the band´s ability to tell a story through their music. Katu Kaiku also carries a great variety of emotions in their mature musical expression.

Open event

The Hammond wizard Kalle Salonen invites a number of great pop and jazz musicians to join him at the terrace of Elmun Baari, at rock club Nosturi, in Helsinki, this summer in the framework of a new club series. The club runs from June to August, seeing Salonen perform with fine guests from the vanguard of Finnish music.

On 1 August Kalle Salonen Band is joined by Marko Haavisto.
