Birger's Ragtime Band is formed by a group of experienced musicians who have played in various jazz groups in both Finland and abroad since the 1970s. Dalindèo ja Nieminen & Litmanen @ Lutakko,Tanssisali Lutakko, jyväskylä23.4. At 20:00

Dalindèo and Nieminen & Litmanen, two heavyweight talents of the Finnish jazz scene, tour together this spring! The first stop will be at Lutakko on Wednesday 23 April.
During its 10-year existence, the Emma-awarded Dalindèo have proven to have a knack of merging different musical genres in a unique way. Their latest album, “Kallio”, took the group from the Brazilian dance floors of their early career to surf guitars and the bohemian side of the Finnish capital, and it is surely from here where the Balkan melodies and the influence of Finnish popular music of the1950s come from. Dalindèo is made of a strongly melodic style and cinematic feels and they are determined to make every member in the audience move.
The duo Nieminen & Litmanen has established itself as an inimitable instrumental dance band. This group has trusted its signature Hammond sound for almost ten years - successfully. From the beginning, Nieminen & Litmanen have made music that is both true to their taste and to the musical traditions their pieces draw from. And these traditions range from blues, rock, reggae, afro and soul to funk, popular music, rockabilly, punk, jazz and bossa nova.
porvoo
The New York-based Finnish quitarist, Olli Hirvonen, gives the last concert on the tour celebrating the release of his debut album at Zum Beispiel, in Porvoo.
Hirvonen's compositions incorporate a wide range of influence from modern and mainstream jazz with a hint of avant-garde and flavours of rock music. The quartet is international: on the tenor sax we have Frederick Menzies from Denmark, on the bass Jeff Koch from the U.S., and on the drums Philippe Lemm from the Netherlands.
The group has played at several jazz clubs in New York, at the Nordic Cool 2013 Festival in Washington D.C, at the UCLA European Jazz Festival in Los Angeles and at various venues in Boston and New York.
