Trumpeter Mikko Karjalainen and pianist Joonas Haavisto's duo is a colourful newcomer in the Finnish jazz scene. Both musicians are well-known from Finnish and international groups alike. This duo's repertoire, that draws from the fields of both soul and pop music, displays Karjalainen's and Haavisto's uniquely wide-ranging approach to making music.

Jones & the Preacher's tunes have been aged for a good time in jazz barrels and some additional flavour has been distilled from gospel music and New Orleans jazz. The delightful dialogue between Karjalainen's trumpet and Haavisto's rhodes makes this gig a sparkling experience.
