Founded in 1994, Mr. Fonebone is led by bassoonist Antti Rissanen. In the course of the years, the band has become one of the icons of Finnish jazz music. The band members are all acclaimed musicians in Finland, as well as internationally.

The musical roots of Mr. Fonebone are in the jazz of the 1960s, when dynamic playing became a hit. This November concert presents a cross-section of material from three legendary Mr. Fonebone albums Mr Fonebone (1997), Mr. Fonebone live (1999) and Hit & Run (2007).
