The enchanting "Jazz meets Cinema" evening features the stunning vocalist Marjaana Pakkanen as the guest soloist with the Jazz Jkl Collective. The program includes jazz standards from various decades that are well-known from movies!
Jazz music and cinema share a close relationship, transcending genres. Many of the most beloved jazz standards were originally composed for films or musicals.
Marjaana Pakkanen, a professional singer, songwriter, and producer who has had a long career in Helsinki, is a versatile talent in the music industry. Recently returning to Jyväskylä, she originally launched her career from our local music campus and now makes a soulful return to the stage at Poppari after a long break!
