Founded in 2016, Helsinki-based Viba is a band that moves in the twilight zone of genre boundaries. Pop, jazz, and prog rock are living naturally in the same universe in the compositions of singer-songwriter Virva Immonen. In their lyrics Immonen persistently seeks a way to describe their inner world as honestly as possible, enjoying the clashes of everyday life and surrealism. The band’s playful approach to Immonen's songs forms the Viba-sound, where synthesizers and various effects blend into the band's modern expression.
