Max Ionata Scandinavian Connection
One of the foremost Italian saxophonists Max Ionata performs at April Jazz Club with a quartet of Scandinavian reinforcement. Max Ionata is considered one of the major Italian saxophonist on the contemporary scene. Throughout his career, he’s been awarded and appreciated by critics and audience both in Italy and abroad. He’s leader in several projects and collaborates permanently with prestigious artists and has published more than 70 disks with national and international artists.
The April Jazz Club concert is played as a quartet with Nordic reinforcement: Finnish pianist Mikael Jakobsson, drummer Aleksi Heinola and Swedish bassist Daniel Franck are all distinguished jazz musicians known from several projects. The quartets repertoire consists of compositions by Ionata as well as standards and jazz originals.

The concert is opened by Ebeli Show, presenting the students of Ebeli, the pop/ jazz department of the Espoo Music Institute.
