Hanna Paulsberg Concept

Hanna Paulsberg - Saxophone/compositions
Oscar Grönberg - Piano
Trygve Waldemar Fiske - Bass
Hans Hulbækmo - Drums

Hanna Paulsberg Concept consists of four strong voices on the young Norwegian jazz scene. When Hanna Paulsberg started the band in 2010, she had a desire to play with musicians who understood the African American jazz tradition but still wanted to take the music in new directions. The quartet released their debut album Waltz for Lilli in 2012, and followed up with Song for Josia in 2014, both wich received great reviews internationally and in Norway. The quartet has played more than 90 concerts since it's inception in Norway and abroad, including Estonia, Finland, England and Germany, and major festivals such as Stockholm Jazz Festival, Copenhagen Jazz Festival and Jazzkaar. In 2011 they won the Young Nordic Jazz Comets competition in Stockholm and were awarded Trondheim Jazzfestival's talent price same year. Playfulness, openness, vital original compositions and a strong interaction has been key ingredients from the start, but the quartet is more on the pursuit than before and take bigger chances to bring their music to new places. The gis in Finland are part of the album release tou

Soil Collectors
Hannah Tolf - Voice, Electronics
Isabel Sörling - Voice, Electronics
Jonathan Albrektson, Keabords
Martin Öhman - Drums

In Soil Collectors we find four bold improvisers from Sweden who throw themselves into the borderland between improvisation, pop compositions and electronics. Influenced by Scandinavian choral traditions and American native indian music they explore the roots of voice and drum and the musical languages used in old tribe traditions. On stage they deliver a barely believable musical experience that’s a privilege to witness and that could rock a festival crowd to its roots.

Mopo
Linda Fredriksson – Saxophone, Clockenspiegel,
Eero Tikkanen – Double Bass, Harmonica, Rubber Chicken
Eeti Nieminen – Drums, Reindeer Bell, Mouth Harp

Mopo is a collective of three talented musicians from Finland. The energetic trio saw the daylight in the fall of 2009, when the musicians brainstormed as a result of a bar-fight.

Mopo (”a moped”) accelerates easily from zero to speed of light, but mostly the trio steps on the gas for a hilarious joyride in the countryside. The trio draws their inspiration from jazz, 70s punk and the Finnish nature. Each composition is born in the magic of the moment and Mopo’s intense performances have stolen the hearts of their audiences all over the Finnish jazz club scene. In May 2011, Mopo won the Finnish tryouts of the Young Nordic Jazz Comets –competition and earned a huge amount of interest and attention in the finals held in Stockholm.

Recently Mopo has performed in London Jazz Festival, BBC Jazz On Radio 3 live session and prestigious 12 Points! festival, just to name a few. Mopo released their debut album, Jee! in 2012 and second album Beibe in 2014, both on Finnish Texicalli Records label. The latter is going to international distribution by Edition Records in the UK.
