Trio Urho
Trio Urho was founded by three students of the Sibelius Academy in 2012. The lack of a traditional harmony instrument is an important creative springboard for the trio, guiding their exploration for new ways of expression and arrangement. They cite Sonny Rollins’s, Joshua Redman’s and Elvin Jones’s groups as their musical icons.

Jari Perkiömäki Organic Baritone Quartet
Baritone sax coupled with an intensively-swinging organ trio has been as good as an unattempted combination so far in Finland - before this extraordinary quartet. Jari Perkiömäki’s team have modelled themselves upon George Benson’s group and, indeed, in addition to originals and selected jazz classics, their repertoire comprises pieces by Benson.

Singer Fredi's marvellous tenor voice has melted Finnish hearts already for several decades. This is the third time Koko Jazz Club has the honour to welcome him and his long-term partner in music, Olli Ahvenlahti, to step on the stage.
