Flame Jazz is proud to present - finally - Juhani Aaltonen, one of the greats of Finnish jazz. Recently turned 80, Aaltonen is unarguably among the most important names in the history of Finnish music. A winner of the State Prize for Music, Aaltonen's affecting and charismatic sax expression has touched audiences decade after decade and no sign of waning can be detected. In this concert, Aaltonen is joined by his good old bandmates, bassist Ulf Krokfors and drummer Reiska Laine, with whom the veteran sax man is soon bringing out a new album, too.
