Jazz Finland Live

The jazz sensation of the moment is definitely the Helsinki-based ensemble Dalindèo. Released last spring, their third album Kallio reached number 13 in the Finnish albums chart, which is quite an achievement for a jazz ensemble. But then, Dalindèo is something else: the ensemble, which charms live audiences again and again, is a fascinating combination of jazz, surf guitars, Finnish tango and popular music, and a sense of smoky prohibition bars, film and Balkan ska.

After almost ten years of playing together, Dalindèo’s ensemble remains the same: Valtteri Pöyhönen (guitar and composition), Pope Puolitaival (saxophone), Jose Mäenpää (trumpet), Pekka Lehti (bass), Jaska Lukkarinen (drums) & Rasmus Pailos (percussion). The group’s synergy in playing and performing their music has been perfected in a way that reaches the audience across the genres!
