Bassist Tuure Koski is known for the progressive jazz quintet XL. His own ensemble came together for his second post-graduate concert in Sibelius Academy. This is a rare opportunity to hear the quartet’s original compositions and hand-picked covers live.

Maratone Quintet is fronted by talented trumpeter Martti Vesala, whose thoughtful music stems from the output of people like Miles Davis and Wayne Shorter in the 1960s. The band’s second album “Finding The Way” was released on the Swedish Prophone label in 2012.
