Jazz Finland Live

Ville Ja Valle is a new colourful children’s music production that is based on a classic Finnish children’s album Muusa Ja Ruusa (1972) by composer and saxophonist Eero Koivistoinen. Ville Ja Valle features new versions of songs based on beloved children’s lyricist Kirsi Kunnas‘ poems and short rhymes such as Jussin Talo, Mistä on pienet pojat tehty ja Muusa ja Ruusa. The concert also features all new children’s songs from such Finnish lyricists as Timo Kiiskinen, Mikko Perkoila and Juha Itkonen. All of the music is composed by Eero Koivistoinen.

Ville Ja Valle is performed by UMO’s 17-piece big band with soloist Johanna Försti. Composer Eero Koivistoinen will conduct. Ville Ja Valle will be released as a CD in the fall. In addition to Johanna Försti and UMO, the CD features Vesa-Matti Loiri and rapper Gracias as soloists.
