Jazz Finland Live
JazzAmfi: Riitta Paakki Trio,Espoon kulttuurikeskus, espoo18.8. At 18:00

Riitta Paakki Quartet's music is irresistibly effortless. The quartet brings together various styles and distictive sounds of four Finnish top musicians. Manuel Dunkel’s tenor sax compliments Paakki’s playing in the most sensitive way, and the heavy-hitting rhythm section of Antti Lötjönen’s bass and Joonas Riippa’s drums gives a solid cornerstone to Paakki’s hard-bop-influenced compositions.
Riitta Paakki is a respected pianist, composer and band leader. The Finnish Jazz Association awarded her the Yrjö Award in 2019. The quartet's album Piste, released in 2020, was nominated for jazz album of the year at the EMMA gala. Their brand new album Väri has also gained critical acclaim.
