Two earthlings united by their shared Finnish Oddity, Selma Savolainen (voice) and Helen Svoboda (voice/double bass) create sound inspired by human emotion and the all-encompassing peculiarity of everyday life.

Their debut EP was released in November 2019. The music was recorded during the duo’s time at the Banff Centre for Arts in August 2019, and is a culmination of spontaneous creation within a single recording session.

Helen Svoboda is one of Australia’s most sought-after jazz and improvised music creators. She will spend the spring of 2023 in the Helsinki International Artist residency program.
