Sointi Jazz Orchestra's last concert of the year will be broadcast from the Kapsäkki Music Theater as a live stream on the orchestra's Facebook page and Keikalla.fi website. Via Keikalla.fi, you can support the orchestra's musicians with an optional 5-30 euro support ticket and watch the concert recording for another 7 days after the performance.

The concert completes the record release tour for the new Kolibri album in 2020, and the livestream allows everyone access to the concert, regardless of location.

The new album consists of compositions by conductor Rasmus Soini. After the band’s previous two solo-driven concept albums, the band’s fourth studio album puts the band’s own unique sound and top-level soloists at the center. The album is a song of praise for Sointi Jazz Orchestra's inimitable ensemble and unique line-up.

Dalindèo, one of Finland's leading jazz ensembles, will release their new album Follow the Dark Money in November and perform a tour from 28th November to 11th December. With the release, Dalindèo makes their views on global themes public to live audiences.

The band’s fifth full-length album follows in the footsteps of their Dark Money EP released in spring 2020. The EP's release tour was unfortunately interrupted as the corona pandemic stalled the world. The recent collection of eight compositions is the artistic reaction of band leader Valtteri Laurell Pöyhönen to the current state of the world, where the inequality of individuals and the number of international conflicts have become more and more critical. In addition to the dark and menacing shades hinted at by the EP, there are also more hopeful flashes of light in Follow the Dark Money.

The Jazz-Emma award-winning Dalindèo is a six-piece band founded in 2004, known as one of the stylistic pioneers of Finnish jazz. The band's previous releases, led by jazz guitarist and composer Valtteri Laurell Pöyhönen, are Open Scenes (2007) and Soundtrack for the Sound Eye (2010) released by Ricky-Tick Records, and Kallio (2013) and Slavic Souls (2016) released by Suomen Musiikki. Pöyhönen is also known e.g. as the leader of Ricky-Tick Big Band and from a recent collaboration with PK Keränen of 22 Pistepirkko.

Ensemble
Valtteri Laurell Pöyhönen, guitar, synthesizers, electric piano, electronics / Jose Mäenpää, trumpet / Pope Puolitaival, tenor saxophone, flutes / Rasmus Pailos, percussion, electronics / Pekka Lehti, double bass, electric bass / Jaska Lukkarinen, drums
