First Impressions

This is to say, the more I know you, the less I know

First Impressions is a collection of jazz songs that tell about the difficulty of being present and staying still, longing, falling in love, being together, becoming alienating and resignation. Among the original compositions are also re-arranged compositions by John Coltrane, Tom Waits and the band Rush. The songs are performed by singer Saku Mantere, who lives in Montréal, and a nonet consisting of Finland's leading jazz musicians, conducted by Jussi Lampela.
