A tribute concert to percussionist-researcher-natural therapist Milford Graves (1941-)

Milford Graves’ lifework has touched many and its echoes are wide in diversity. As a drummer, he is a major contributor in the continuum of Afro-American music, expanding its language into universal perspective in an unparalled way. As a ceaselessly inspiring teacher he has nourished countless musicians. In this concert we hear percussionist Simo Laihonen (1982-) expressing his counterpoint to this vision, having in its centre the recognition of undivided nature of all human culture.
