KATU KAIKU
Katu Kaiku’s music consists of haunting melodies, organic odd meters and superb touch of dynamics played by Adele Sauros on tenor saxophone, soprano saxophone, flute and vocals, Mikael Saastamoinen on electric bass and Erik Fräki on drums. Progressive structures meet lush and lilting, yet growing melodies. Harp-like arpeggios played on the electric bass groove and communicate with elaborate drums.

JEAN ERIK
In a modern Nordic jazz landscape adventuring Jean Erik's debut album This Is Jean Erik will be published by the independent record label Eclipse Music in March. With this very first album Jean Erik already makes a strong statement by his personal approach. Strong riffs, sections of collective freedom and fresh harmonies take the story through a multilayered rhythmic path. Tuovinen describes his music modern Nordic jazz with added modern soundscapes. His versatile use of bowing and effects brings out the personal sound of Jean Erik. Manager Charles Gil's Free voices and sounds agency and Jazz Finland have worked together to organize Finnish-French tours in Finland since 2000. To celebrate the 20th anniversary of the co-operation, the two touring bands are highly acclaimed quartets in their respective countries: the Finnish Maxxxtet, led by saxophonist Max Zenger, and the French Spring Roll, fronted by flautist-vocalist Sylvaine Hélary.
