In addition to originals, the group’s musical fireworks bases on jazz standards.

Started in spring 2016, Tuomas Paukku Scription takes up from where the eponymous guitarist’s former Finno-Swedish group, Description, left off. Scription represents the sharpest edge of Finland’s rising jazz generation, performing their leader’s original and intimate music with an irrepressible passion. Having their roots deep in the soil of modern jazz impressionism does not stop them from stretching genre boundaries for fresh and unusual soundscapes. “I wanted to start a new and Finnish band. Here it is!”, Paukku sums up.
