Pepe Willberg's long and colourful career involves adventures in a variety of genres, and it is his infallible sense of style has made him one of the most admired Finnish artists. A recent manifestation of Willberg's ability to stay topical is his lofty-sounding new album, Saimaa, which has astonished critics and the media alike. Koko Jazz Club proudly presents Pepe on the vocals accompanied by Koko Jazz Orchestra.
Koko kesä Kalliossa invites one beloved Finnish artist at a time to front the house band, whose core is formed by vibraphonist Arttu Takalo, bassist Timo Hirvonen and drummer Jussi Lehtonen. Koko Jazz Orchestra arranges a number of highlights from each feature artist’s career, seasoning the favourite songs with jazz.
