Kirjazz&Blues returns to Valkeakoski!
For the 15th time, the joy of rhythm will fill the air at Kirjazz&Blues mini-festival, bringing to life the picturesque Kirjaslampi with its unique atmosphere. Over the years, the dance pavilion by Lake Mallasvesi has hosted acclaimed names in Finnish jazz and blues, as well as newer, lesser-known artists. Organized by the Työväen Musiikkitapahtuma ry, the mini-festival offers delight to jazz and blues enthusiasts on Saturday, June 8th.
The evening kicks off with the 11-member ensemble Roamin' Street Band, playing captivating street jazz influenced by the New Orleans sound of the 1910s-1930s.
Continuing the diverse musical offerings of the night is Relax Trio, drawing from styles such as rockabilly, psychobilly, and punk with their uncompromising approach. Hailing from Rauma, Relax Trio has been following their own path for nearly a decade. They are well-known not only in Finland but also in Europe and the United States.
Award-winning singer-guitarist-songwriter Jo´ Buddy spreads joy with his music, which is raw, timeless, and down-to-earth all at once. Performing under the name Jo´ Buddy since 1996, Jussi Raulamo has taken the stage over 2000 times during his 25-year career, in ten different countries.
