Northern mysticism, catchy melodies, as well as free improvisation. Case Kämäräinen ft. Severi Pyysalo –ensemble draws their music from these elements.
Intuition, which most often leads us in everyday life as well as in other life decisions, has been a common thread running through the album Mystique From The North, which was released last autumn. Tomi Kämäräinen approached composing new music with full confidence in his intuition. The style and rhythmic body of almost every song originated from the drum "grooves" that he had raised as a candidate for a new album while improvising.
The strong foundation of free improvisation among the band members led Kämäräinen to compose music where everyone has room to realize their own vision as a player, and thus bring their own handprint to Case Kämäräinen's music.
Special guests on the tour include vibraphonist Severi Pyysalo and bassist Juuso Rinta. The tour features both new and old music from the band.
The evening begins with a performance by the students of Espoo Music Institute's Pop/Jazz program Ebeli.
