Riitta Paakki Quartet’s soon to be released second album Piste is celebrated at April Jazz Club! Pianist Riitta Paakki is one of the most meritable jazz musicians in Finland, holding a doctoral degree in jazz piano as the first pianist in Sibelius Academy, and being awarded with the prestigious Yrjö-award by Jazz Finland. During her stay in Paris last winter, Paakki composed new tunes that are now released as Riitta Paakki Quartet’s new album Piste. Paakki’s northern tones are full of mature vision and bright attitude, which is culminated in performance of effortless swinging and joy of music.
