On the 4th of November at Savonlinnan Kulttuurikellari, Kalevi Hämäläinen Group presents First Days of Summer record release gig as a part of jazz evenings produced by Olavin Jazz.
Kalevi Hämäläinen Group is a modern jazz ensemble that was established in Savonlinna in 2015. After thorough preparation, band's debut album First Days of Summer was published in spring 2020 via Eclipse Music. The album has received positive reviews as well as been broadcasted both nationally and internationally.
Positivity and exuberance characterize the music of Kalevi Hämäläinen Group. Having their main influences in modern fusion, songs of the band have also elements from progressive rock and pop music. In addition to spacious melodies and joyful harmonies, band's music contains surprise elements, and different atmospheres are consolidated by versatile application of sounds.
