Duo Kätkös combines the soft sides of an acoustic jazz ensemble: double bass and vocals. This tiny group challenges the traditional roles of their instruments and explores the new harmonies enabled by this extraordinary instrumentation.

Jukka Eskola Orquesta Bossa is a group consisting of a renowned jazz quintet and the prestigious Proton String Quartet. Lead by one of the key instrumentalists of his generation in Finnish jazz, trumpet player Jukka Eskola, Jukka Eskola Orquesta Bossa performs their own compositions that strongly lean on the tradition of bossa nova.

Jukka Eskola (born 1978) is a Finnish trumpet player who ranks among the most sought-after jazz artists in Finland. He has become known as the leader of Jukka Eskola Quintet and Jukka Eskola Soul Trio and as a member of The Five Corners Quintet, Finland’s most successful jazz outfit to date, plus the live band of Jimi Tenor, to name but a few.

Nossa Bossa brings a soft breeze from the 1960’s Brazil. The quartet consisting of students from the jazz department of Sibelius Academy performs their own compositions in Portugal and Swedish musically heavily influenced by the masters of bossa nova, such as Antonio Carlos Jobim.
