Find the hidden treasure in Helsinki for your swinging day off! Koko Jazz Club has some of the finest jazz artist in the world. It is a club run by musicians, which is why some of the very best artists, such as Dave Liebman, Joey Calderazzo, Jeff Watts, Adam Nussbaum and Tim Hagans, hit the stage when they are around. Tenor saxophonist Joonatan Rautio is well-known for his virtuosity, soloistic strength and vitality. With his musical background firmly rooted in the jazz tradition, he makes a strong statement both rhythmically and harmonically. Rautio has performed with numerous Finnish and international jazz stars, including Jim Beard, Randy Brecker, Adam Nussbaum, Jeff “Tain” Watts, Jon Balke, Mike Stern, Chris Minh Doky, Jukkis Uotila, Lars Danielsson, Anders Jormin, Ron McClure, Peter Erskine, Jesse Van Ruller and Finland's UMO Jazz Orchestra. He is also a leader of a number of ensembles, most currently his own trio and electric jazz fusion group, Nassaun Fasaani.

Varre Vartiainen is a leading Finnish guitarist: superb lines, superb rhythm section playing, you name it! The duo drummer Jussi Lehtonen and bassist Timo Hirvonen has made the tightest rhythm section for 20 years. Changing rhythmic textures are these guys' specialty.

This quartet will hit hard on the great American songbook. Koko Jazz Club highly recommends this night of the mind readers!
