Recently chosen as the eco-friendliest cruise ship of the world, Viking Grace casts off to the rhythm of great jazz tunes already for the seventh time this September. The popular jazz cruise takes jazz enthusiasts to enjoy live performances from the most topical Finnish jazz groups of the moment on a swinging voyage on the Baltic Sea

The cruise presents two very different larger outfits: the Finno-Beninese afro-jazz powerball, Helsinki-Cotonou Ensemble, and the We Jazz Rising Star 2014 winner, 11-piece Mikko Sarvanne Hip Company. The Teosto-awarded Elektro GT will electrify the Saturday night with their raw live energy, while the dazzling vocalist Janna has promised to stretch her repertory to the sphere of soul music. The nostalgic Retro stage hosts two fine bands: Joonas Haavisto Quintet plays Strayhorn and the international Joakim Berghäll Nordic Dialogues. The seventh Flame Jazz Cruise features jam sessions with young and veteran musicians and Talk Shows where the artists talk about their ongoing an future projects.

Turussa ensimmäistä kertaa järjestettävä Flame Jazz -kulkue valtaa Turun keskustan lauantaina 19.9. alkaen klo 16! Kovassa nosteessa porskuttava 11-henkinen Mikko Sarvanne Hip Company johdattaa kulkueen Levykauppa Ella & Louisista alkaen halki keskustan kohti Viking Linen terminaalia. Luvassa loistavaa nuorten lupausten musiikkia ja positiivista meininkiä!
