Mikko Pettinen & The Happy People play swinging soul, funk and offer you a rich dose of positive energy. The leader Pettinen is probably best-known as one of the trumpeters of UMO Jazz Orchestra but now he shows what he has got as a vocalist and keyboardist. The group plays their leading man's compositions that approach stylistically the spirit of such giants as Stevie Wonder, Sly Stone, Tower of Power and Steely Dan.

Iiro Rantala, Solo Piano

Pianist Iiro Rantala (b. 1970) is unarguably one of the best-known and most awarded Finnish jazz musicians. He has given more than 2000 concerts in over 43 countries during his impressive career and been awarded with, for example, the Yrjö Jazz Prize and the Pro Finlandia medal by the President of Finland. He has composed for musicals, film, theatre and performed works ranging from classical music to jazz. Rantala is currently acting as the artistic director of the piano jazz festival Kansi Auki.
