Jazz Finland Live

J.K.L. Quintet is Jorma Kalevi Louhivuori’s newest band that combines 50’s and 60’s Afro-American traditional Jazz to the modern sound.

The members of the band have all been successful both in Finland and around
the world. In addition to Louhivuori the members are Jaska Lukkarinen
(drs), Jori Huhtala (bass), Alexi Tuomarila (pno) and Teemu Takanen (sax).
The members can be heard for instance in Ricky Tick Big Band, Dalindeo,
Mats Eilersten “Sky Dive” and Big Blue. J.K.L. Quintet’s material draws
influences from evergreen jazz standards, Duke Ellington, Horace Silver and
Ahmad Jamal.
