Helsinki Jazz Festival in November – Club For Five, Emma Salokoski, Heikki Sarmanto, and Junnu Aaltonen on the Kulttuuritalo stage!
An extraordinary domestic jazz concert will take over Helsinki's Kulttuuritalo in November, featuring performances by Club For Five, Emma Salokoski, and the legendary duo Heikki Sarmanto and Junnu Aaltonen. This event, called the Helsinki Jazz Festival, will be held on November 9th, with tickets going on sale at Lippupiste on Monday, May 27th.
Club For Five
Since its inception in 2000, Club For Five's music transcends any single genre, comfortably navigating jazz, pop, rock, folk, and classical music. The group has frequently collaborated with the UMO Helsinki Jazz Orchestra and performed at notable events like April Jazz.
Emma Salokoski & Johanna Juhola
Emma Salokoski is a singer-songwriter, musical chameleon, and versatile interpreter, known for her performances with Ilmiliekki Quartet, Maria Ylipää, the UMO Jazz Orchestra, as well as her bands Quintessence and Emma Salokoski Ensemble.
Heikki Sarmanto and Juhani "Junnu" Aaltonen
Heikki Sarmanto and Juhani "Junnu" Aaltonen are undeniable legends of Finnish jazz. Both began their careers in the early 1970s and continue to perform regularly. In the concert at Kulttuuritalo, they will join forces with piano and flute. The performance promises to deliver sophisticated yet relaxed and skillful playing, bringing decades of music to the audience in a unique way.
