Mathias Sandberg trio – Hard swingin', groovy & soulful jazz!

Jazz guitarist and composer Mathias Sandberg, dubbed "one of Finland's best-kept secrets" by the American music magazine Jazziz Magazine, is among the most active jazz musicians in Finland. Sandberg's debut solo album "The Doctor" has received acclaim on both sides of the Atlantic. The long-awaited new trio album "The Captain" was released in 2023, accompanied by a 60-concert release tour from Enontekiö to Helsinki (including Pori Jazz).

The concert will feature the trio's unique blend of "hard swingin', groovy & soulful jazz," characterized by strong melodies, rhythmically playful improvisation, and nearly telepathic ensemble playing.
