Saxophonist Andreas Toftemark is one of the most sought-after young saxophonists and award-winning jazz master from Copenhagen who has firmly established himself in the Danish and European jazz scene within the last few years. The Andreas Toftemark Quartet will be joined on the Cathedral Park Terrace by Danish drummer Andreas Svendsen and Finnish jazz talents Filemon Von Numers on bass and Tuomo Uusitalo on piano. The quartet performs Toftemark's own compositions, playing with harmonies, improvisation and rhythms, without forgetting the jazz tradition.

The Flame Jazz Summer Live concert series consists of current names in the Finnish jazz scene and talented ensembles. The concerts are free of charge and are held every Wednesday from 8 May to 14 August 2024 in a cosy park atmosphere in Turku's Cathedral Park Terrace.
