Jazz Finland Live

Tomi and Lowell got to know each other through an international jazz conference in Boston in summer 2016. The following fall Lowell and Josefiina met in Miami, where she had come for exchange studies. After returning to Finland, they all stayed in touch via video calls and messages. They then decided to put up a programme of original compositions, some of which are cowritten. With a particular chamber-sounding quintet they explore breathing, sounds and conversations that reflect their thoughts overseas.

Tomi Nikku - trumpet
Lowell Ringel - double bass
Josefiina Vannesluoma - vocals, flute
Mila Laine - cello
