Jazz Finland Live

Vanessa Haynes is a London-based singer, songwriter and the longest-serving female vocalist of jazz/funk group Incognito. She also makes her own particular brand of music, a mixture of funk, soul and jazz. Vanessa brings with her to Sello Hall her magnificent British-Finnish band put together by Kari Paavola. The concert features material from Vanessa’s first solo album, some Incognito hits and also samples from her new album, which will be released in the summer.

Njet Njet 9 is a lively mini big band with a cheerful touch to making music. Their music is rich in arrangement, painting vast musical landscapes that range from nostalgic to futuristic. As band leader Ville Kyttälä puts it "Njet Njet 9's music sounds like Zappa and Zawinul are playing tennis with Massive Attack at a Swedish summer cottage". Easy going the music may be, but there's still lots of layers to dig into.
