Jazz Finland Live

The year starts with the number one jazz guitar star Teemu Viinikainen and his trio! Music from the album are all compositions by Viinikainen himself, except "Return" and "Return part II" that were born in a free improvisation sessions with Myrskog and Riippa. This new album gives it's listeners a musical trip to unknown. "Robert Dickson is back", Viinikainen says adoring in reference to his first album Tales of Robert Dickson, 2005. Viinikainen has gotten a lot of domestic and international recognitions and he just might be one of the most desired jazz guitarists in Finland. His also known for a long-term collaboration with saxophonist Jukka Perko. Internationally he has played alongside with names like Joe Lovano, Joe Lovano, Vince Mendoza, Randy Brecker, Dave Liebman and Tim Hagans. His first album, Tales of Robert Dickson (KSJAZZ, 2005) were followed by Nyt! (Prophone, 2011) and Hit it! (Prophone, 2014)

Finnish saxophone great Jukka Perko teams up with singer-gambist Mikko Perkola. The internationally renowned duo will perform from the 1600s onwards, from jazz standards to their own compositions.
