Jazz Finland Live

Avantgardeyö radio show hosted by Matti Nives started in June 2015 on Radio Helsinki and is celebrating its first anniversary by organizing a mini-festival in Oranssi, Suvilahti on Saturday 11.6. Artists performing: Lau Nau, Varropas, Olli Aarni, S I I H H I, Biitsi, Laser Pancakes and DJ NIVEXXX. Tickets are available through Holvi online store.

The Voodoo Jazz House closes for the spring with a bang when Jorma Tapio, "outlaw of Finnish jazz", joins the house band. Tapio is known as an uncompromising pathbreaker, a proponent of truly free expression. Annikki Poetry Festival is a one-day festival where poetry meets other forms of art, such as music and dance. Some of the headlining artists of the event will be Finnish rap artist Paperi T and American Pulitzer-winning poet Gregory Pardlo who will be joined by Finnish jazz band Hot Heros on stage. 

Other acts include Finnish poet/jazz pianist Claes Andersson together with the jazz band Mustat Silmät and the 12-piece Mikko Sarvanne Hip Company featuring spoken word artist Jussi Pelkonen a.k.a Beibi P.
