Acoustic Bike

Tickets 20 €
OutoJazz's Phuusioperjantai night club is kicked off by Acoustic Bike, who serves up a full-on mix of radio hits, shaken and mixed with their twisted fusion bicycle. If you've never had a crack at Bailando or Pate Mustajärvi's Ukkometso before, you will today! The skilled foursome sprinkles such a dose of stardust, jazz, funk and blues on top of these familiar groove-filled tunes that after the gig you'll notice your synapses have been rewired.
Joel Kenakkala has been making his own songs for about ten years, but in recent years he has also been rolling in with jazzier arrangements of pop songs. In order to bring the content umder his helmet to a wider audience, Joel has hand-picked a great group of players from his circle of friends to join him on the same stage. The band's set at Vanhan Paja night club includes Kenakkala's own compositions as well as vintage arrangements of pop songs from several decades.
Joel Kenakkala – keyboards
Petri Havukainen – guitar
Simo Rinkinen – drums
Sanna-Mari Savolainen – bass
Responsible for the final climax of Phuusioperjantai, PEELA is a supergroup led by Johannes Granroth, who present their own vision of today's social music with unabashed energy. In it, the styles of the African-American musical tradition merge into a coherent whole, where playful improvisation, strong melodies, juicy harmony and captivating rhythms play a central role. PEELA's music is strongly instrumental, but is sometimes embellished with Maja Mannila's virtuoso vocals. PEELA is a band whose ingenious and fully charged playing can be listened to with deep analysis so that the synapses melt. Or you can just let their phenomenal groove carry you away, dance, smile and rejoice with every cell. The stage is theirs - the decision is yours!
PEELA has already released three albums, the latest of which, Notbad, was released in March 2024 via Eclipse Music.
