Equally Stupid makes a comeback with the single Shadows released on 24.1.2025 and will perform at Eclipse Jazz Club, Telakka on January 29th

Finnish-Swiss-Icelandic Equally Stupid is a strong and energetic power trio formed by Pauli Lyytinen, Sigurdur Rögnvaldsson and David Meier, whose music is melodically and rhythmically multi-layered. Having recorded two full-length albums, the band is releasing new music after a long break, again published by Eclipse Music.

The band's 2017 album Escape from the unhappy society was praised for its energetic performances and imaginative composition. In the words of Pentti Ronkanen: "All three players are very talented and dare to put everything on the line." The eight-minute single Shadows presents the band in full swing, seamlessly combining the energy of rock and the freedom of jazz.

Lyytinen is a nominee for the Jazz Finnish Grammy of the Year. All three members are also active and versatile artists in their own right, having toured internationally with their own projects for over a decade in Europe, Asia, Africa and South America.
