Pianist Riitta Paakki, who plays in various ensembles, will be performing solo at the Malta House in Helsinki.

Paakki is Finland's first pianist with a doctorate in jazz music. Her visionary playing can be heard in many small ensembles, and of course, as a solo artist. Paakki creates music firmly rooted in traditional jazz, although spiced up with a modern twist. She composes a lot herself, and her music often carries a romantic atmosphere. The impression is usually subtle and ballad-like.
