The solo concert of Panu Savolainen brings the rarely solo-featured vibraphone to the forefront, with all of its overtones and colours. The audience will be pampered with the feeling of floating in a sleep and, in the next moment, with virtuosic percussive joy of rhythms. The program consists of both Savolainen's own compositions as well as pieces by, for instance, J.S. Bach and some present-day Finnish schlager.
Vibraphonist Panu Savolainen is well-known as a multi-faceted and expressive musician and bandleader in jazz, classical, and other kinds of acoustic music.
