The talented French jazz singer Camille Bertault will perform together with the Oulu All Star Big Band. Bertault is known for being a vocal acrobat and became an internet sensation in 2015 after releasing a video in which she interprets the saxophone solo of John Coltrane’s Giant Steps with astonishing precision. Bertault published her third album in autumn 2020 and her scat videos have reached hundreds of thousands of viewers in social media. The concert program includes both jazz standards, as well as Camille’s own jazz favorites. The concert will be conducted by Teemu Takanen and was postponed from last year’s festival due to the pandemic situation all around the globe.
