UMO Helsinki Jazz Orchestra tackles the music of its new Artistic Director and Chief Conductor, Ed Partyka, for the first time in a full-length concert. Ed Partyka’s latest albums “Kopfkino” and “In The Tradition” were composed originally for his own group Ed Partyka Jazz Orchestra, but are now performed by UMO and vocalist Nina Mya. USA-born trombonist, composer, arranger, and conductor has collaborated with a number of renowned European big bands and several other projects and leads his own group, the Ed Partyka Jazz Orchestra.
