Jazz Finland Live

Hot Heros will arrive on Wednesday 20 May to perform material from their new album Tähtisilmä.

Hot Heros is known for its distinctive and boldly improvising expression. On the new album Tähtisilmä, the band dives into the timeless melodies of master musician Konsta Jylhä and creates their own, strongly contemporary ensemble. The music on the new album flows smoothly. Hot Heros has succeeded in bringing Konsta Jylhä's compositions to this time and this world without forced modernity.

The Hot Heros lineup consists of Ville Rauhala (double bass), Sami Sippola (saxophone) and Janne Tuomi (drums). At the Suisto concert, the lineup will be complemented by cellist Katri Antikainen.

The Jyväskylä-based Jazz Jkl Collective and saxophonist Markku Rinta-Pollari interpret familiar songs from past decades as summery jazz arrangements.

Flame Jazz Summer Live on Wednesdays at 6 pm at Cathedral Park Terrace, free entry. As the Flame Jazz Summer Live concerts are held outdoors, in case of rainy weather, the concert of the day may be rescheduled. Any changes will be announced on social media channels and websites by Church Park Terrace and Flame Jazz.
