Nina Mya is a Finnish jazz singer, composer, singing teacher and voice actress who has achieved a solid position in Finnish music circles both as a band leader and as a guest soloist. She is a dark-voiced, nuanced and strong interpreter and improviser who not only has the technical skill of jazz, but also the depth and proclamation of gospel and soul. Mya was chosen as Pori Jazz's Artist of the Year in 2012 and she graduated from the Sibelius Academy in 2015.

In Salo Mya performs with her pianist Henri Mäntylä. Mäntylä is a soulful, versatile and grooving player whose strong rhythmic approach that pays tribute to the African-American musical tradition.
