Syskofrenia play mysterious genre-defying music to which poignant lyrics add some extra edge. The quintet’s sophomore is due out later this year.

Kokko Quartet is known for mixing Indian, Arabic and Cuban influences with Scandinavian jazz tradition. Pepa Päivinen – reeds, fl, Ilari Filander – gtr, Jussi Miettola – drs
The Yrjö Jazz Prize -awarded reedsman Pertti “Pepa” Päivinen and duo Good Romans invite us to join them on an adventure in the uncharted landscapes of free jazz, without a map but with steady steps. Later this year, the power trio will follow their two acclaimed albums Ghost of a Dog and Tadpoles with a third full-length recording. In addition – or even instead of! – aggressive free jazz, they will treat us to carefully woven textures and mature playing with no gimmicks.
