Jazz Finland Live

FLEN is a chord-free jazz group with members from Sweden and Denmark who have been working together since 2021. Drawing inspiration from the formidable combination of Ornette Coleman, Don Cherry, Archie Shepp, as well as the Swedish towns of Flen, Årsta and Trelleborg, FLEN’s sound has continued to take shape and grow over the last years.

On their upcoming second full-length album, the band expands its expression to incorporate several styles adjacent to jazz, creating space for the members’ strengths both as soloists and composers. With touches of boogie, pop ballads, and Scandinavian melancholy, there is room for both humor and intimacy. The album will be released in November 2026 on the newly founded label Gutophone Records.

Monday Jazz Happeningissa ensimmäisen setin soittaa aina illan yhtye klo 19 alkaen, ja keikan jälkeen jatkuvat jamit, jossa kohtaavat musiikin opiskelijat, harrastajat ja jazzin ammattilaiset.

Monday Jazz Happening on Turun konservatorion ja Jazz City Turku ry:n tuottama tapahtuma yhteistyössä Rica Barin kanssa. Syksyllä 2026 käynnistyy Monday Jazz Happeningin 21. lukuvuosi.
