Peppe Jalava Band throws a lot of different ingredients into the pot. Progressive rock and modern jazz give the strongest flavor, so the name of the concoction could be progressive jazz.

At this album release gig, the band will be moving on from their two previous albums before the actual album release. This will brin an explanation to the curly title of the new album. The main character of the evening, the Miraculous Pumpkin, made its debut in the lush finale of our previous album "A Guided Tour in the Kuiper Belt". The title of that closing track "The Miraculous Pumpkin Meets the Barking Mandarin" mixes the names of Bela Bartok's ballet "The Miraculous Mandarin" and Frank Zappa's record label "Barking Pumpkin". Now it's finally time to continue the story as the other of these weirdos makes a comeback.
