Jazz arrived in Finland symbolically 100 years ago with the Andania ship, and to celebrate, the Mathias Sandberg Trio is touring with over 50 concerts across Finland and Central Europe.

Guitarist and composer Mathias Sandberg is one of Finland's most active jazz musicians, having studied in New York and Boston and collaborated with numerous top artists. His albums The Doctor and The Captain have received international acclaim. In recent years, the trio has performed extensively across Europe, playing dozens of concerts annually. The performance features energetic and melodic "hard swingin', groovy & soulful jazz," combining rhythmic playfulness, strong improvisation, and tight ensemble interplay.

The anniversary highlights Finnish jazz and its artists both in Finland and abroad, celebrating jazz as part of Finland’s cultural heritage.
