Known as the leading name in Finnish Jazz Manouche, Django Collective Helsinki has returned to Juttutupa with their signature club residency!
Since 2011, the ensemble led by Aki Hauru has enlivened urban culture and the Finnish music scene with their soulful, upbeat acoustic music, rooted in the 1920s–50s style of Django Reinhardt and Stéphane Grappelli. Audiences can once again expect relentless swing and exciting collaborations with top-tier guest artists.
Alongside traditional, toe-tapping swing, the group performs original compositions where the old blends with the new in a fresh and inventive modern jazz expression. Performed authentically using only stringed instruments, their music is guaranteed to be a captivating experience.
